Draft — for internal review. The technical details below match this website's actual current implementation. Kept out of search results until finalised.
Cookies are off unless you accept them
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you're happy for us to use optional analytics cookies. If you choose Reject, or close the banner without choosing, no analytics script is ever loaded and no analytics cookies are set. If you choose Accept, Google Analytics loads from that point on. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of every page.
Strictly necessary
We store a single local preference — your accept/reject choice — in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we don't ask again every visit. This is required for the site to remember your choice and has no opt-out, as it holds no personal data beyond "accepted" or "rejected".
Analytics (optional — Google Analytics 4)
If accepted, Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Per Google's published defaults, these typically persist for up to 2 years unless cleared. We use this only to understand aggregate site usage — see our Privacy Policy for what we additionally log on a successful contact-form submission (a generic event with no personal data).
No other tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, or any third-party tracker beyond Google Analytics as described above.
Open questions before this can be finalised
- Confirm this description matches your intended use of Google Analytics (e.g. any additional GA features such as remarketing, if ever enabled, would need disclosing here)
- Legal/company details to include per the Privacy Policy's open questions
